2011-2012 Substance Use and Safety Survey Results
The Student Substance Use and Safety Survey, administered annually to a random, representative sample of ÁùºÏ±¦µä students, provides self-report data on student knowledge, attitudes, and behavior related to substance use and school safety issues.

The purpose of this survey is to monitor high school students’ perceptions of their high school experience. Results are used to improve the campus environment and program supports for students.

This report summarizes the survey responses of 68 teacher trainers who provided instruction and guidance to newly hired teachers in August 2012.
2012 New Teacher Induction Program (TIP) Training Survey Summary
This report summarizes survey results from newly hired teachers who participated in an August 2012 orientation and training duriprior to the start of school. Of survey respondents, most found orientation welcoming and useful. When asked about additional training they would like to receive, most wanted content-area instructional strategies, instructional technology, and using student data to plan instruction.
Prekindergarten Program Participation, 2011-2012
In 2011–2012, ÁùºÏ±¦µä prekindergarten enrollment was 5,525, a decrease by less than 2% from the 2010–2011 year. The vast majority of pre-K students were economically disadvantaged (94%) and/or English language learners (58%). Attendance rates for pre-K students increased by 0.6% from the prior year.

These reports summarize 2011-2012 parent survey results at the campus and district level. The survey was available on the internet and by automated phone call from February through April 2012.
ÁùºÏ±¦µä REACH Program Update, 2011-2012: The Peer Observation Program
Teachers, principals, and observers had favorable attitudes toward the peer observation program in 2011-2012. Announced and unannounced observation ratings were moderately consistent, but were only slightly related to administrator ratings on PDAS.
