Final Report: National Wildlife Federation Schoolyard Habitat Project, 2010-2012
The National Wildlife Federation's SchoolYard Habitat (SYH) program was a partnership with ÁùºÏ±¦µä from 2010-2012. A total of 18 outdoor learning habitats were created on ÁùºÏ±¦µä elementary and middle school campuses, and a demonstration habitat was created at the ÁùºÏ±¦µä Science and Health Resource Center (SHRC). The purpose of the SYHs is to provide teachers with an outdoor classroom that allows students to learn science and mathematics skills in natural environments. This report reviews the purpose and goals of the SYH program.

2012 Senior FAFSA Submission Summary
The FAFSA application can be completed by aspiring students to access federal financial aid for college enrollment. FAFSA completion rates for ÁùºÏ±¦µä seniors were the same in 2011 and 2012, and gaps in FAFSA completion remained among student groups.
Career and Technical Education: College Readiness and Cost-Effectiveness, 2011-2012
Compared to 2010–2011, the cost-effectiveness of the CTE program improved in 2011-2012. Also, CTE may be more successful than the regular curriculum at achieving the effect of college readiness among Hispanic and economically disadvantaged students.

On average, ÁùºÏ±¦µä pre-K students scored below the national average range on a test for receptive vocabulary ability. English language learners (ELLs) scored lower, on average, than did non-ELLs. Read more about pre-K students' Fall 2012 performance by vertical team.
Student Course Feedback Pilot, 2011-2012: Administration and Instrumentation
Evidence from this Spring 2012 pilot suggests feedback about teachers can be reliably obtained from students at all grade levels, and that such feedback can provide a valid supplemental measure of teacher quality to accompany additional indicators.
Class of 2010 Alumni Survey Report
ÁùºÏ±¦µä graduates completed a follow-up survey about their high school college and/or career preparation one year after graduation. This report focuses on students’ perceptions of their postsecondary preparedness and ways it could be improved.

Schoolnet is an instructional tool designed to help district staff at all levels to improve student achievement. In 2011-2012, the evaluation focused on system implementation.

This report uses the High School Exit Survey as a vehicle to explore explanations for the consistent postsecondary enrollment gap between Hispanic seniors and students of other races/ethnicities.
