Middle School Level Report Summary of Research
The ÁùºÏ±¦µä level reports highlight analyses results and strategies that address the interactions among factors influencing student performance. The 2008-2009 MS level report presents results critical to student achievement at the middle school level.
State Compensatory Education, 2008-2009
State Compensatory Education (SCE) is a supplemental program designed to eliminate disparities in (a) student performance on assessment instruments administered under chapter 39 of the Texas Education Code (1995, amended 2007), and (b) the rates of high school completion between students who are at risk of dropping out of school, as defined by Texas Education Code 29.081 (1995, amended 2007), and all other students. This report examines the results for the State Compensatory Education program for at-risk students in ÁùºÏ±¦µä for the 2008-2009 school year.
Office of Redesign: Quality Teaching for English Learners (QTEL), 2008-2009
Quality Teaching for English Learners (QTEL) aimed to improve teacher practice and improve student outcomes at Lanier and International High Schools. Overall, QTEL was moderately effective based on the myriad of mixed program results.
ÁùºÏ±¦µä Prekindergarten Expansion Grant Evaluation Report, 2008-2009 Promoting School Readiness
ÁùºÏ±¦µä provided full-day pre-K to 5,196 4-year-olds in 2008–09 at 66 schools. Seventy percent or more of students made measureable gains on a test of receptive vocabulary, and average gains showed growth about two times greater than that expected for 4-year-olds after a 7-month period.
Summer School Evaluation Summary Report 2009
ÁùºÏ±¦µä served more than 13,000 students in summer programs, providing opportunities for accelerated learning, maintenance of academic skills between school years, course credit recovery, state achievement tests, or school-level transition activities. Read the full report for more details.

2009 Student Substance Use and Safety Survey Result High School and Middle School Reports
These reports summarize results from the 2009 ÁùºÏ±¦µä ISD substance use and safety survey. Reports are available for the district as well as for each middle and high school.
