2024 Summer School Learning Options

ÁùºÏ±¦µä ISD elementary families have access to the following programs to help their students progress academically throughout the summer. Elementary summer enrichment and campus-based summer learning options are open to all students who want to get a head start on the school year.

Summer Project Based Learning Camp

Summer PBL Camp will be hosted at 5 Elementary School hub sites, offering an in-person summer enrichment program in the month of June. Students will engage in an integrated project based curriculum (PBLWorks) that covers math, English, social studies, and science. The planned activities are designed for in-person collaboration that fosters camaraderie and critical thinking.

Dates: June 3 - June 20 (Mon.–Thurs.)
Time: 7:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Hub site locations: Houston, Kocurek, Govalle, Pecan Springs, Pillow

1st- and 2nd-Grade Summer Grade Literacy Camp

Certain 1st- and 2nd-grade students will be invited by their principals to take part in the Summer 1st- and 2nd-Grade Lit Camp to accelerate them in their literacy. The dates and times will coincide with the Elementary School Summer PBL Camp. Please reach out to your campus principal for more information.
