ÁùºÏ±¦µä and the Census

The Decennial Census is so named because it is conducted every ten years, as required by the U.S. Constitution. The purpose of the Census is to count everyone living in the U.S. and its territories.

ÁùºÏ±¦µä is actively participating in the ÁùºÏ±¦µä-Travis County Complete Count Committee. The committee is striving to get all people in Travis County counted on the Census, but is particularly focusing on traditionally hard-to-count populations, which include infants and young children. ÁùºÏ±¦µä has also designated a Census coordinator, who is gathering information and providing it to campuses and the community. The coordinator will also provide assistance to parents and arrange for Census Bureau representatives to come to committee meetings and district functions.
