Modernization Construction to Start Summer 2019
James Bowie High School is one of the modernization projects included in the 2017 ÁùºÏ±¦µä Bond Program. Bowie will receive the first phase of a full modernization that includes improved parking facilities and additions and renovations to athletics and fine arts.
Construction is scheduled to start Summer 2019. To kick off the process, the school will be hosting a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the milestone.

What: ÁùºÏ±¦µä is holding a groundbreaking ceremony for Bowie High School with remarks from Bowie Principal Robinson, ÁùºÏ±¦µä Trustee Yasmin Wagner, and ÁùºÏ±¦µä Superintendent Paul Cruz.

Parking will be available in the lot beside the tennis courts. The event will take place in the field in front of the tennis courts.
Background:
Bowie High School is one of the campuses receiving a full or partial modernization as part of the 2017 ÁùºÏ±¦µä Bond Program. Page Architects and JE Dunn Construction have been contracted by the district for this project. A Campus Architectural Team, made up of members of the Bowie community, meet regularly with the project team to provide input as ÁùºÏ±¦µä seeks to create an environment for 21st century learning.
