Rebuilding T.A. Brown: ÁùºÏ±¦µä Holds Groundbreaking for Modernized Elementary School

New campus scheduled to open January 2020

The T.A. Brown Elementary School and Webb Primary School communities will gather to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new, modernized campus. T.A. Brown will be one of the first modernization projects completed as part of the 2017 Bond program.

The new school is scheduled to open in January 2020. Webb Primary School will join the T.A. Brown community at the new facility in fulfillment of the 2017 Facility Master Plan.

What:  ÁùºÏ±¦µä ISD is holding a groundbreaking with remarks from the ÁùºÏ±¦µä leadership team, T.A. Brown Principal Veronica Sharp and Webb Primary Director Marizza Marquez. There will also be performances by T.A. Brown and Webb students.

When: 4-5:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30

Where: 505 W. Anderson Lane
Lot and street parking will be available. Refreshments provided by ÁùºÏ±¦µä ISD Food Services.

Background: In late 2016, the site was vacated after engineers discovered significant structural issues that posed a safety risk. Since then Brown staff and students have shared the Barrington Elementary School campus, where they continue to operate as two separate schools.
