Get your hair cut and colored or your nails done at Crockett High School's renovated cosmetology classroom

Crockett High School's cosmetology classroom is reopening for business this Thursday as Salon Crockett. The public can receive various salon services from cosmetology students every Friday morning in the new and refreshed space.

What:
A $350,000 salon upgrade was part of ÁùºÏ±¦µä's 2012 bond. The upgrade included new furniture, classroom space and an outside entrance allowing clients to enter the salon directly.

In Crockett's cosmetology program, students prepare for a career in cosmetology and earn the 1,000 classroom salon hours required to be eligible to take the Texas Cosmetology License exam.

The program is tuition-free, which saves students an estimated $24,000 in cosmetology school enrollment fees.
