District launches Let’s Talk ÁùºÏ±¦µä to promote community discussion
ÁùºÏ±¦µä is launching a digital meeting place called Let’s Talk ÁùºÏ±¦µä to engage parents, staff and partners.
What: A brief presentation on Let’s Talk ÁùºÏ±¦µä and an opportunity for community members to sign up on this new platform.
When: 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9
Where: Zilker Elementary School library, 1900 Bluebonnet Lane
Background: As ÁùºÏ±¦µä reinvents the urban school experience, the district invites community members to share their voices, learn about issues affecting students and connect with other ÁùºÏ±¦µä families. The digital platform allows users to share their feedback with the district at any time.
Topics range from getting input on a south ÁùºÏ±¦µä high school to providing ideas on how to relieve overcrowding to what makes staff proud of their schools and ways to improve green efforts on campuses.
ÁùºÏ±¦µä will continue to listen to community members through more traditional formats such as campus-based meetings and during public comment at trustee meetings. However, we realize not everyone can attend a traditional meeting, so this format allows input when it’s convenient for our families.
