MEDIA ADVISORY: State Rep. Naishtat Commemorates Bryker Woods’ 75th Anniversary with House Resolution

State Rep. Elliott Naishtat will present a House Resolution commemorating Bryker Woods Elementary School’s 75th anniversary.

Where: Texas Capitol, 1100 Congress Ave., House Floor 

Background: Bryker Woods Elementary earned a distinction of Academic Achievement in Reading/English Language Arts and Science and Post Secondary Readiness from the Texas Education Agency. It is also designated as a Green School, No Place for Hate and Social Emotional Learning campus. The school has a rich tradition of excellence, opening its doors to kindergarten through sixth-grade children in 1939.

The school was enlarged in 1949 with the addition of classrooms and a small gym, and was once again remodeled in 1986 to add office space, a driveway and parking.
