Teacher of the Year one of many categories to be announced
ÁùºÏ±¦µä ISD, in collaboration with ÁùºÏ±¦µä Partners in Education, will celebrate its best-of-the-best at Salute this evening. The annual event recognizes some of the district's outstanding team members for their continued dedication to student excellence and achievement in schools.
Who: Superintendent Paul Cruz and APIE Board Chairman Mark Curry will host the event. Mayor Steve Adler will co-present the Teacher of the Year award.
What: Recognitions include Teacher of the Year, Classified Staff of the Year, Principal of the Year, Librarian of the Year, Counselor of the Year and Assistant Principal of the Year.

In addition, National Board Certified Teachers and Teachers of Promise will be honored. The event also will include student performances, including Anderson High School's award-winning "The Wedding Singer."
When: Reception at 5 p.m.; event 6:30-8 p.m., Tuesday, May 19
There will be media availability with the winners following the event at 8 p.m.
