Dobie and Oak Hill get new leaders
Tonight, ÁùºÏ±¦µä ISD's Board of Trustees approved new principal appointments for Dobie Middle School and Oak Hill Elementary School.
Dobie Middle School
Maggie Araujo was appointed to lead Dobie Middle School.
Araujo most recently served as assistant principal of testing and intervention at John B. Connally High School in Pflugerville ISD.
In this role, she planned and organized state End of Course STAAR assessments and implemented a campuswide mentoring program to support at-risk seniors.
In previous roles, she served in multiple assistant principal roles and as a high school math instructional specialist and teacher.
Oak Hill Elementary School
Lori Komassa was appointed to lead Oak Hill Elementary School.
Komassa most recently served as an assistant principal at Odom Elementary School.
In this role, she facilitated grant writing to support educational programs and co-chaired development of a campus improvement plan.
She previously served as a teacher at Casey Elementary School, at Bridgepoint Elementary School in Eanes ISD and at three elementary schools in Tampa, Fla.
Komassa has a master's degree in education and a bachelor's degree, both from the University of South Florida. She earned her principal's certification from Lamar University in 2012.
