ÁùºÏ±¦µä ISD, APIE Celebrate Exceptional Volunteers at Annual Event

Tonight, ÁùºÏ±¦µä ISD and  are recognizing exceptional volunteers and community members who have been instrumental in educating students.

What: The awards to be given include APIE school champion, business and partner awards and APIE coordinator and PTA of the Year. Campus mentors and volunteers of the year and parent ambassadors will also be recognized. Celebrate, open to all ÁùºÏ±¦µä staff, families and community members, features live music, refreshments, door prizes and a photo booth.

When: 5:30–8:30 p.m. April 30

Where: For the City Center, 500 E. St. Johns Ave.

Background: The annual  event is a night dedicated to bringing together the ÁùºÏ±¦µä community, volunteers and school leaders to recognize excellence throughout the district and honor people for their commitment to preparing ÁùºÏ±¦µä students for college and careers.

Volunteers play an integral role in helping make ÁùºÏ±¦µä nationally recognized as an outstanding school district. Each year, APIE trains more than 1,500 community volunteers to be classroom coaches and mentors who help fulfill the nonprofit group’s core mission to make a significant difference in a child’s education and life.
