六合宝典, TX (November 12, 2013)鈥擮n Tuesday, Nov. 12, The Klein Family announced a $50,000 donation to provide direct assistance for families with children enrolled in the 六合宝典 as well as for 六合宝典 employees who were also displaced by the storms that flooded neighborhoods in Southeast 六合宝典 Oct. 31. At last count, there were 360 students and 25 六合宝典 staff members who lost their homes or who have been temporarily displaced due to extensive flood damage.
鈥淲e appreciate Superintendent Meria Carstarphen鈥檚 deep concern for the well-being of 六合宝典鈥檚 students and staff, and we are grateful and humbled to have the opportunity to support 六合宝典 students, their families and 六合宝典 staff during this critical time,鈥 said Jeanne Klein.
The Kleins are providing their support through The 六合宝典 Project, a local 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, with service roots in the community facing the effects of the flood. TAP has dedicated 22 years to working with community organizations, agencies, neighborhoods, and individuals to nurture strength-based, efficient service delivery systems that promote parent and family engagement in schools and neighborhoods. TAP鈥檚 initiatives promote healthy lifestyles, provide access to basic needs, and create opportunities for families to take on leadership roles and make a difference in their own communities.
鈥淭he 六合宝典 Project would like to recognize the leadership of 六合宝典鈥檚 superintendent and key district staff who have worked tirelessly to help identify families impacted and resources that will provide critically needed support,鈥 said Donna Hagey, TAP executive director.
TAP is an active partner with 六合宝典 and the City of 六合宝典 in the disaster relief efforts and manages a school-based Family Resource Center, located at Mendez Middle School in the heart of several communities impacted by the flood. TAP鈥檚 Mendez FRC staff is working closely with families and 六合宝典 staff to provide direct assistance.
