AUSTIN, Texas—ÁùºÏ±¦µä ISD’s Eastside Memorial High School at the Johnston Campus, in partnership with ÁùºÏ±¦µä Voices for Education and Youth, is hosting Harvest Fest this weekend to provide resources for families.
What: Family event, including educational resources, free flu shots, dental and vision screenings, eyeglasses for students, live music, games and food
When: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9
Where: Eastside Memorial High School at the Johnston Campus, 1012 Arthur Stiles Road
Background: Harvest Fest is an opportunity for ÁùºÏ±¦µä families to receive screenings for health insurance, coats for students and information on education (college and adult), housing, employment and finances. Families will be able to register for the Christmas Bureau/Blue Santa program and Coats for Kids.
Children can participate in wall climbing, pony rides, moonwalks, a bike rodeo, games, crafts, book reading, among other activities.
The event is free, with lunch provided.
