AUSTIN, Texas—Friday, ÁùºÏ±¦µä will announce the recipients of the 2013 Teaching with Google Nexus Project, with surprise visits at their respective schools. Join ÁùºÏ±¦µä at Blackshear Elementary School as a teacher is awarded a grant to create stop-motion animation using tablet technology with third through fifth grade students.

What: The 2013 Teaching with Google Nexus Project was made possible by an in-kind donation of 100 Google Nexus tablets for educators to integrate technology into their classroom.

Background: More than 60 teachers and non-profit providers who work with ÁùºÏ±¦µä students on campuses submitted grant applications. Through a multistep screening process and review panel of distinguished advisors and educators, the four winning grants were selected. A list of all four recipients will be provided after Friday’s event.
