This weekend, ÁùºÏ±¦µä is sponsoring HopeFest, a community-led family resource fair with more than 100 exhibitors, at Reagan High School. The event is expected to attract 3,000 to 4,000 people.
Who: The event is sponsored by local community groups and churches, with help from ÁùºÏ±¦µä, ÁùºÏ±¦µä Fire Department, ÁùºÏ±¦µä Police Department, America’s Promise Alliance, ÁùºÏ±¦µä Bridge Builders Alliance, ÁùºÏ±¦µä Voices for Education and Youth, For the City, Health & Human Services Department, H-E-B, Luke 4:18, Partners in Hope, Sendero Health Plans, Seton Family of Hospitals, Smile Dental Center, St. John Community School Alliance, Sylvan Learning, Texas Health Steps and Texas Star Program.
What: Attendees will receive health, dental and vision screenings, free flu shots and immunizations, health insurance screenings; information on employment, housing, financial and legal aid and other family services; and information about upcoming activities in area schools, including Reagan. There will also be live music, free food and children's activities. Optometrists will prescribe 100 pairs of children's glasses on-site.
This year HopeFest is also serving as a Blue Santa registration site.
