MEDIA ADVISORY: Bedichek Middle School Students Attempt World’s Record for Water Balloon Toss Oct. 11

ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Texas—An estimated 600 students at Bedichek Middle School are attempting the World's Record for the largest, single-venue water balloon toss to beat the current record of 432 participants. The attempt has been approved by Guinness World Records and Judge Susan Steeg, Justice of the Peace, Precinct 3, will be on hand to serve as an independent witness of the event.

When:  2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11

Where: Bedichek Middle School, 6800 Bill Hughes Road, track

Background: The activity is an incentive to Bedichek students for positive attendance and good behavior for the first six weeks of school. Bedichek Middle School has increased its attendance rate steadily over the past five years and has the highest attendance rate it has seen in eight years.

Bedichek Middle School is the home of Einstein Jr., a new, advanced academics program introduced this school year, that is preparing students for a top-tier university experience through project-based learning and technology.
