District to Announce Teacher and Principals of the Year, Among Others
ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Texas—The ÁùºÏ±¦µä invites staff members, families and community members to celebrate district employees who commit their time, talent and energy to help strengthen ÁùºÏ±¦µä schools.
What: Salute, an annual event honoring ÁùºÏ±¦µä staff members
When: 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 14
Where: The Long Center for the Performing Arts, 701 W. Riverside Dr.
Background: ÁùºÏ±¦µä is teaming up with ÁùºÏ±¦µä Partners In Education to host Salute, which gives the community an opportunity to recognize some of ÁùºÏ±¦µä's most outstanding staff members. This year, the Teacher of the Year, Principal of the Year, Classified Staff of the Year, National Board Certified Teachers and Teachers of Promise will be announced and recognized. In addition, for the first time, ÁùºÏ±¦µä’s Assistant Principal of the Year, Librarian of the Year and Counselor of the Year will be recognized.
The event will include student performances, guest presenters and prizes. The City of ÁùºÏ±¦µä serves as a signature sponsor for Salute.
