AUSTIN, TX—The ÁùºÏ±¦µä’s Kindergarten Roundup, which includes registration and orientation, will be held at neighborhood schools for all children who are five years old on or before Sept. 1.
When: Tuesday, May 7
Where: All neighborhood elementary schools
Background: At Kindergarten Roundup, parents will receive information about ÁùºÏ±¦µä’s full-day kindergarten program, including curriculum, daily schedules, attendance requirements, the school year calendar, how to help a child prepare for school and information specific to the individual campus.
Parents should bring to Kindergarten Roundup:
- The child’s official birth certificate
- Current immunization records
- Proof of parent’s residence in the ÁùºÏ±¦µä School District, such as a current utility bill or lease agreement and
- Parent/guardian photo identification.
Classes for the 2013-2014 school year begin Monday, Aug. 26.
