Potential Partners Present Proposals on Eastside Memorial School Improvement to ÁùºÏ±¦µä Community

AUSTIN, TX­—The ÁùºÏ±¦µä will hold a public meeting for oral presentations by potential external partners, who responded to the district’s request for proposals to lead school improvement at Eastside Memorial High School.

What: Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Md., and American Institutes for Research in Washington, D.C., present proposals to partner with the district.

When: From 10 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Saturday, April 20

Where: Eastside Memorial High School, cafeteria, 1012 Arthur Stiles Road 

Background: ÁùºÏ±¦µä is working with the Board of Trustees and affected communities to formulate a plan for the future of Eastside Memorial High School at the Johnston Campus. As part of the RFP process, the evaluation committee has called a public meeting, where two of the five proposals to partner with the district to lead school improvement will be presented to the community.

An evaluation committee composed of parents, educators, administrators and other stakeholders will listen to the presentations by the potential district partners. After the public presentations and question-and-answer session, the committee will meet in closed session to continue the evaluation process.
