AUSTIN, TX—The ÁùºÏ±¦µä’s Kealing Middle School, the University of Texas School of Social Work, and the Greater ÁùºÏ±¦µä Crime Commission’s UT Longhorn Leaders Program will be honored with a state resolution and an ÁùºÏ±¦µä City Council proclamation, declaring Monday, April 15, as Longhorn Leaders Day.

What: A by-invitation only luncheon at Kealing Middle School, followed by a reading of the resolution at the Capitol

Background: This year marks the 10th year of the Longhorn Leaders Program, founded by Crime Commission board members Michael L. Lauderdale and Fred Ligarde. The program pairs seventh grade students with UT athletes, who mentor the middle school students.
