ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Texas—The ÁùºÏ±¦µä invites ÁùºÏ±¦µä families and community members to attend a brief presentation about a possible school for young men, including research about how single-sex schools impact learning, academic performance and student interests, followed by a discussion.
ÁùºÏ±¦µä is considering a proposal to open a district-wide college and career preparatory academy that develops a community of young men focused on character and leadership. The district is gathering feedback from parents, community members and staff members on the proposal, which is under consideration for implementation in 2013-14, with potential board action scheduled for Dec. 17.
Who: ÁùºÏ±¦µä representatives, community members, parents and caregivers of young male students.
