ÁùºÏ±¦µä, TX— ÁùºÏ±¦µä (ÁùºÏ±¦µä) Director of Public Relations and Multicultural Outreach Alex Sánchez released the following statement today regarding the arrest of a military recruiter who visited the McCallum High School campus:
"The school district's top priority is the safety and wellbeing of students. We are collaborating with ÁùºÏ±¦µä Police Department in this active investigation. To clarify, the alleged incident did not occur on ÁùºÏ±¦µä property and the recruiter was not an ÁùºÏ±¦µä employee. The school district has a strict policy that requires all visitors to check in at the main office of each campus. Specifically, McCallum High School goes above and beyond this policy by using the Raptor system, which scans each visitor's driver's license. ÁùºÏ±¦µä had no knowledge of any concerns with this recruiter prior to this incident. As soon as the district was made aware of the situation, ÁùºÏ±¦µä police took immediate action to prevent this particular individual from entering our campuses."
