ÁùºÏ±¦µä, TX—Texas Assessment of Knowledge & Skills (TAKS) retesters, or students who still need to pass a portion of the Exit Level TAKS tests to earn a high school diploma, may register to participate in the October administration of the TAKS Test being held at campuses throughout the ÁùºÏ±¦µä (ÁùºÏ±¦µä) from Oct. 18 to Oct. 21. Students may register online on the Texas Assessment page of Pearson Access at through September 16, 2011 or by calling ÁùºÏ±¦µä at 414-3471. Students may also register at their home campus on the day of testing.
Students should report to the main office of the campus of their choice on the day the test is being administered by 8:30 a.m., and must bring a photo ID and two #2 pencils. Testers should bring their Social Security number, and must provide information regarding their home district and campus name. Students should note that the use of cell phones and other personal electronic devices during testing is not permitted, and should be prepared to surrender their cell phones and other electronic devices to the test administrator while the TAKS is being administered.

TAAS (Texas Assessment of Academic Skills) tests are no longer being administered. Those students who still need to complete the TAAS will need to take the TAKS. These tests will be scored at a lower standard than required for the TAKS to meet the TAAS standard.
