The ÁùºÏ±¦µä School District's Department of Advanced Academic Services will host two information sessions about the Texas Academy of Leadership in the Humanities for families of advanced academic students in grades 6-10.
The sessions will be held on Saturday, April 30, from 10-11 a.m., and again from 1-2 p.m., at the ÁùºÏ±¦µä Professional Development Center, located at 3908 Avenue B.
The Texas Academy of Leadership in the Humanities is a residential honors program housed at Lamar University for gifted and talented high school-aged students to spend two years in a university setting. Students receive a full scholarship to take courses at Lamar, and, upon graduation from the program, typically complete 60 or more college credit hours.
