Juneteenth Parade

You are invited to march in the annual City of ÁùºÏ±¦µä Historical Juneteenth Parade on Saturday, June 15. Students, staff and community will march behind the ÁùºÏ±¦µä ISD Juneteenth banner along with the All-Star Band under the direction of Northeast ECHS Band Director, Rory Guice.

Where to Meet:

ÁùºÏ±¦µä ISD participants will meet no later than 9 a.m. at the Rising Star Baptist Church located at 1710 E. 20th St, ÁùºÏ±¦µä, TX 78722. We will walk together to the parade entrance.

Length of Parade:

The parade will begin at 10 a.m. The parade route is approximately 1.2 miles. We will reach the end of the parade route at approximately 11:30 a.m. If you park at the church, the bus will take you back immediately following the parade. You also have the option to attend the Juneteenth Park Festival at the Rosewood and Boggy Creek Park located at the end of the parade. See parade map on page 2 below.

Transportation to and from the parade is the responsibility of each parade participant.

What to Wear:

  • Juneteenth T-shirts will be provided upon arrival. (Limited quantity, first come.)

  • Wear clothing suitable for summer heat.

  • Wear comfortable walking shoes.

  • Bring water. Additional bottled water will be available during the parade.

  • Sunscreen is highly suggested.

  • Wear a hat and/or sunglasses.

  • ÁùºÏ±¦µä ISD families are encouraged to march with our group.
