To increase access to the flu vaccine this year, ÁùºÏ±¦µä Voices for Education and Youth in association with ÁùºÏ±¦µä ISD is hosting HopeFest this Saturday, Oct. 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Northeast Early College High School (7104 Berkman Drive ÁùºÏ±¦µä, 78752).
HopeFest is a resource fair where families are able to get free drive-thru flu shots quickly and easily. HopeFest will also provide free COVID-19 tests, food, books, crafts, live music and a zoo.
Trained volunteers will be on site to safely accommodate flu and clinic enrollment, vaccine and consent forms via the car.
Flu shots and COVID-19 tests are free. Families are encouraged to come by the drive through in a safe and timely manner.
ÁùºÏ±¦µä Voices for Education and Youth anticipates 1,500 ÁùºÏ±¦µä families will get their flu shot on site.
