On March 29-30 more than 4,000 participants, teachers, family members, friends judges, and sponsors gathered on the Texas A&M University campus to attend the state Texas Science and Engineering Fair.
Sixth through 12th grade students compete in regional science and engineering fairs across Texas during January, February and March to advance to the state fair. The fair includes 20 plus categories spanning across engineering, biological sciences and physical sciences. Winning high school entries advance to compete in the Intel® International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF).
At this year’s fair three ÁùºÏ±¦µä ISD high school students won top prizes:

Project Scope: Development of a stereoscopic vision algorithm to autonomously construct and respond to an accurate real-time disparity map of foreign environments using an ultralight region-based convolutional neural network.
