ÁùºÏ±¦µä ISD Celebrates Generation TX Week

ÁùºÏ±¦µä ISD is proudly participating in  Week, Nov. 17–21. The week's activities are part of a statewide movement to ensure students have the  and inspiration they need to graduate—and achieve their highest potential.

Throughout ÁùºÏ±¦µä, schools are celebrating Generation Texas Week with college and career readiness activities such as field trips, recruiting visits, application drives and parent nights. Schools also are making campuswide announcements about the importance of post-secondary education, and sharing tips for families to help their students prepare for college.

ÁùºÏ±¦µä will recognize the week with College T-shirt Day on Friday, Nov. 21. Teachers and staff are encouraged to wear their favorite college T-shirt, sweater, jersey or gear and to share some of their college educational experiences with students.

Every student—from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade—can benefit from Generation Texas Week’s celebrations and conversations.

By promoting college and career readiness skills across the curriculum, ÁùºÏ±¦µä stands with and supports its partners at the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to close the achievement gaps throughout the state.
