The seventh episode of Inside ÁùºÏ±¦µä is scheduled to premier Thursday, April 3, at 6:30 p.m. Katiana McClellan, a junior at Lanier High School, will host the episode.
Inside ÁùºÏ±¦µä airs on ÁùºÏ±¦µä TV Ch 22 every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 8 a.m. as well as being posted to the Channel 22 blog at aisdtv.blogspot.com.
The upcoming episode features the following stories:
ÁùºÏ±¦µä Student Art Show – K through 12th grade students and their teachers celebrate Youth Art Month. This year, more than 1,500 works of art, representing 113 schools are displayed. Bowie High School student Julia Lund, designed the billboard artwork advertising the show displayed on 10 billboards around ÁùºÏ±¦µä. Baranoff Elementary student, Marley Hall, designed this year’s art show t-shirts.
Career & Technology Education – ÁùºÏ±¦µä helps students prepare for college and career though Career and Technical courses offered at both the middle school and high levels. Students learn about different career pathways as well as have the opportunity to earn industry certifications and college credit.
ACC Early College Start-Dual Credit Program – ÁùºÏ±¦µä’s partnership with ACC also helps prepare students for college and career while attending high school. Students have the opportunity to take college level classes and earn college credit before graduation high school.
Teacher Profile: Annette Gutierrez – McCallum High School AVID Teacher & Coordinator, Annette Gutierrez, provides college preparation, guidance and inspiration to her students.
ÁùºÏ±¦µä Faculty Art Show - The annual ÁùºÏ±¦µä ISD Fine Art faculty showcase, entitled Arte de Luna celebrates art and art educators. The show was an opportunity for the public to view new, original, and innovative works from ÁùºÏ±¦µä ISD’s talented fine arts faculty.
Great News Highlights:
Kids Vision CTX – Perez Elementary School students were the first in Central Texas to benefit from a joint effort between the ÁùºÏ±¦µä Community Foundation and Essilor Vision Foundation, bringing a mobile vision van to Central Texas.
ÁùºÏ±¦µä @ SXSWedu – ÁùºÏ±¦µä partnered with the SXSWedu conference participating in educational sessions and the SXSWedu EXPO.
African American Heritage Celebration - ÁùºÏ±¦µä ISD honored students for academic success and community members for their leadership and service at the 31st annual African American Heritage Celebration.
