This evening, the National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the ÁùºÏ±¦µä area until noon tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 28. Out of an abundance of caution, ÁùºÏ±¦µä ISD will open schools and run district buses on a two-hour delay tomorrow.
The district will continue to monitor the weather, and will only call you again at or about 6 a.m. only if the district needs to cancel school tomorrow. Otherwise, plan for the two-hour delay.
ÁùºÏ±¦µä will excuse tardies for students and staff members due to weather or circumstances related to inclement weather.
To learn how specific bus routes may be affected, please call ÁùºÏ±¦µä’s transportation department between 7:45 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. at 512-414-0238.
Stay safe and stay warm. Bundle up!

How does the two-hour delay affect school start times?
Regular school hours vary depending on the grade levels at the campus. Generally, ÁùºÏ±¦µä's schedules for school start times are: 7:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. for elementary schools; 8:20 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for middle schools; and 9 a.m. to 4:10 p.m. for high schools. Variations may exist for kindergarten classes or high school and magnet school schedules. Please plan your schedule by adding a two-hour delay based on your school's scheduled start time for today. The end time is not affected by the two-hour delay.
