Anderson High School has been awarded the National College Board’s Award for Excellence and Innovation in the Arts. The school is one of only a handful in the nation to receive the prestigious award in 2013.
The awards celebrate schools whose arts programming promotes learning and creativity in innovative and exemplary ways, and provide funding to assist educators in sustaining and expanding their arts programs.
Anderson received the board’s award for the Southwestern Region. The school was recognized for its strong, ongoing partnerships with professional artists who visit arts classes regularly.
Congratulations, Anderson!
