Due to weather and road conditions, ÁùºÏ±¦µä will delay the start time for classes, buses and offices by two hours this morning, Friday, Dec. 6.
ÁùºÏ±¦µä asks parents to please add extra time to their commutes and to expect road closures and traffic delays. The district also reminds ÁùºÏ±¦µä drivers to stop for ÁùºÏ±¦µä school buses whose lights flashing.
ÁùºÏ±¦µä will excuse tardies due to weather and traffic delays. If you have questions, please contact your school directly.
If your child rides the bus and you would like to learn how specific bus routes may be affected, please call ÁùºÏ±¦µä’s transportation department between 7:45 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. at 512-414-0238.
Families also may call dispatchers at ÁùºÏ±¦µä's bus terminals for information about the routes for their respective schools after 4:30 a.m.:
- Nelson Bus Terminal in Northeast ÁùºÏ±¦µä: 512-414-6520.

How does the two-hour delay affect school start times? Regular vary depending on the grade levels at the campus. Generally, ÁùºÏ±¦µä's schedules for school start times are: 7:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. for elementary schools; 8:20 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for middle schools; and 9 a.m. to 4:10 p.m. for high schools. Variations may exist for kindergarten classes or high school and magnet school schedules. Please plan your schedule by adding a two-hour delay based on your school's scheduled start time for today.
