RIP Buddy: ÁùºÏ±¦µä's First K-9 Officer Passed Away

ÁùºÏ±¦µä's first K-9 officer passed away July 17. Buddy retired last year after more than a decade of service to the district.

Buddy was responsible for more than 1,000 narcotic related finds that led to arrest. His hard work earned him the opportunity to assist ÁùºÏ±¦µä and Rollingwood police departments, ÁùºÏ±¦µä Community College and University of Texas police departments and the Travis County Sheriff's department. Buddy is responsible for recovering a large amount of cocaine and marijuana in a vehicle as part of "Project Delirium", a nationwide investigation with the FBI and other agencies.

Buddy also was a two-time, Police Olympic medalist in narcotic detection.

Buddy spent the past his retirement with his partner, ÁùºÏ±¦µä Police Detective Travis Pickford.
