Google and iKeep Safe’s National Digital Literacy Tour is making its way to ÁùºÏ±¦µä with a scheduled stop at O. Henry Middle School on Thursday, Feb. 23 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. ÁùºÏ±¦µä parents are invited to attend and learn more about ways to keep children safe online.
The event, featuring a presentation by Google, iKeep Safe and guest speaker, Mark Strama from the Texas House of Representatives, will engage parents in a dialogue about cyberbullying, protecting personal information, maintaining positive reputations and relationships online. Food and beverages will be served.
Google and iKeepSafe want to make sure that students and families develop the skills that will help them benefit from connected technologies. To support safe and responsible internet use, the ÁùºÏ±¦µä school with the most attendees will receive a $1,000 technology grant courtesy of Google.
