Anderson High School will offer an information session for students and parents interested in its International Baccalaureate (IB) program on January 12, 2012. Current and former students will be on hand at the event to answer questions and share their experiences with IB.
IB is a rigorous academic program that seeks to prepare high school students for college and enables them to earn college credit. IB fosters a positive attitude to learning by encouraging students to ask challenging questions, to critically reflect, to develop research skills and to learn how to learn. IB is for junior and senior students, but preparation for the program begins in the freshman year.
For more information, contact Michelle Szabo, IB Coordinator at 414-7951 or mszabo@austinisd.org.
