The Advanced Placement/International Baccalaureate Incentive Program recognizes and rewards students, teachers, and schools that demonstrate success in achieving the state’s educational goals.
This year, 13 ÁùºÏ±¦µä high schools earned $41,284. The awards were based on the number of students at each campus who demonstrated exceptional performance on AP and/or IB exams.
The following campuses received awards ranging from $500 to more than $8,000: ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Lanier, McCallum, Reagan, Travis, Crockett, Anderson, Bowie, LBJ, Garza, Akins, LASA and Eastside.
Principals at these schools will form campus teams to determine how to use award funds to support academic programs.Funds can be used for materials and resources that support PreAP, AP, or IB courses and students.
