ÁùºÏ±¦µä Family Support Cooperative Meeting – Support for Families of Students with Special Needs

The ÁùºÏ±¦µä Family Support Cooperative will host its next meeting on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Covington Middle School, located at 3700 Convict Hill.

The Family Support Cooperative, a partnership between ÁùºÏ±¦µä (ÁùºÏ±¦µä), ÁùºÏ±¦µä Travis County Integral Care and the Arc of the Capital Area, was created to inform and support families of children with disabilities.

The evening will include multiple presentations as well as provide a meeting space for various support groups. Topics will include: Bullying, ADD, Love and Logic, Transitioning into Adulthood Issues and more.

Each semester, hundreds of parents and supporters from Central Texas participate in the Cooperative designed for parents with children of all ages and types of disabilities. Parents, siblings, caregivers and educators are all welcome. Spanish and sign language interpreters will be available. Free pizza and childcare will be provided in the cafeteria beginning at 6 p.m.
